    How to make an Auto-Changing background Overlays, Dynamic HP bar and Custom PP counter Guide.

    Before starting, i'd like to thanks Piotrekol, the Stream Companion Developer, for coding the HP bar and OMKelderman, for the help. An important thing to point out is that this will only work with OBS, as overlays.

    All links are at the end of the document

    Auto-Changing background Overlays

    In order to make this, you'll need :

    • The Complete RTPP displayer
    • OBS
    • (OBS Stream Effect [Not necessary])

    To begin with, extract the RTPP into whatever folder you want. Open it, wait for it to load. once it's done, close it. Add a random .png (important) picture into the folder and name it "output_mode.png". Then, start it again. Once it's completely loaded, type in Config. A window will open OsuLiveStatusPanelPlugin. Scroll until the end and press "open", next to Background output Path and select the picture you previously placed. Then, go in osu, select a song, wait, select another song, wait etc. The picture should change automatically. If it doesn't work, try playing a map or watching a replay. If it still doesn't work, restart osu. Once it worked, open OBS, add a new scene, a new source and select the "output_mode" picture. Right click on it, press filter, select Scaling / Display Report and put it to your native screen resolution. Then add your game, your camera, your chat, your outline, etc.

    If you want a blur on the background, install the OBS stream Effect plugin, right click on the background picture, Click on filter and select blur.

    Dynamic HP Bar

    In order to make this, you'll need :

    • Stream Companion (.exe)
    • Stream Companion (OBS plugin)
    • OBS

    For this one, install Stream Companion (that'll, from now on, be referred as SC.) and start it. Once it's loaded Click on Settings, click on Output Pattern and Press Enable WebSockedServer Output of pattern. RESTART SC. It won't work otherwise. Then, Go in settings, Output pattern. Click on "Add New", Fill the File/Command name with "HP" and then, for Formatting, write "!playerHP!". Then, click Save. Install the OBS plugin [1] Open OBS, add a new scene, a new source and then a browser. Fill the "URL" with https://ktulh.csb.app/. put the Width to 1920 and the height to 1080. Right click on that Browser Source and add a filter effect : Crop / Frame. Put the High Value to at least 130. Play a map and it will work.

    If you want to customize the HP bar, you can only use masks. Design whatever you like in photoshop (it should looks like that: https://hedonism.s-ul.eu/HD8TQG2t ). Keep in mind that if you want one that drains from both sides, the best would be to only make one side. The HP bar will be mirrored so yea.

    First thing : Create a new scene, add the browser,... do not touch it. Create another scene, add a new source and select the Scene you just created. we'll name that SOSC ([SourceScene] in this doc), for less confusion. You can Rescale that SOSC1 to however you want. Then, Create another Scene, with a source and select that scene. we'll call that one SOSC2. Place a mask on the SOSC2. You can also change the colorimetry of the SOSC2 using a colorimetry correction Filter. At the end, this mess of a thing should look like that : https://hedonism.s-ul.eu/PhTvtOBM.     [1] To install this plugin, open your OBS folder (C:\Program Files\obs-studio), open the SC plugin .rar. Then, drag each files into the folders (you have to open every folders of the rar file and on the win and put it in the Window Explorer. They have the same names. Also, do it with the 32bits and 64bits, no matter your system.)

    Custom PP counter

    In order to make this, you'll need :

    • Stream Companion (.exe)
    • Stream Companion (OBS plugin)
    • The Complete RTPP displayer
    • OBS

    This one is kind of a mix of everything we just read (with the same messy part than for the HP bar, sadly). To begin with that one, you'll need to make the design of the PP counter on Photoshop. I Will link somes i made at the end of this section. Open Stream Companion (which will still be shortened to SC), go to settings and Command Preview tab. This tab will show every different commands there is. One you find what you like, you look at the Status column (the second one), the name of the token. Then, go in the Output Pattern tab. Click on Add new Button. It'll appear at the bottom of the list. The File/command name box correspond to the name of the command that will be used in OBS, so put something that corresponds. The Formatting Box corresponds to the token. To make it work, you'll have to put the token between 2 "!". It will looks like that : https://hedonism.s-ul.eu/4BF252Hz.

    Then, Install the Stream Companion OBS plugin. Refer to the [1] for the Dynamic HP Bar. Then, open OBS. Create a new Scene and a new Source. Add the picture of the Custom PP Counter you made earlier. Then, add a new Text (CGI+) SC. In this, fill the SC source name using the name that was put in the File/command name box [2]. Then, place it to wherever you want. Try and experiment things. This is what my OBS looked like : https://hedonism.s-ul.eu/xXkpRTIf .     [2] If you want it to stick to a certain side/ place, scroll down in the SC source Properties (if you closed it, just double click on the source) until you get to Use custom Size. and put it to some value, doesn't matter as long it's larger than the text. Scroll up until you find Alignment and put it to Center.

    Can I make a bot for educational purposes?

    Hello,

    I'm taking a university project in reinforcement learning (artificial intelligence) and my goal is to make a program that learns itself to play mania 4k from step zero to pro level. However, I cannot find any osu! clients in support of this (since it's obviously gonna turn into a hack/cheat). Of course, the bot will not be logged in any account and it will probably take the screen as input, with only 4 keys as output. Will I have a problem? Will the client detect the external program in any way with consequences?

    Also, is there any client with semi-open source code, just so I can use game's variables as inputs and not the screen?
