    Hello everyone! We know a lot of people want certain songs to be ranked, and a lot of others also want their maps to be played. We decided that every month, a monthly thread for you guys to make requests and ask for feedback will be made!
    The threads will be accessible in sidebar and stickied as often as possible throughout the month. Also, go check out r/osumapping for feedback or help on your maps at anytime!

    osu!chan is now out of beta and open source!

    Hello again, /r/osugame!

    I'm going to try to keep this post brief since I have a habit of writing waaaaaaaaaaaay too much in these things...

    About 6 months ago I launched the closed beta for the rebuild of osu!chan, showcasing the new custom leaderboard system.

    The beta launch was quite a success, and even hosted an event leaderboard for the attendants of COE2019!

    Today, I am releasing osu!chan for all of you and open sourcing the project so the community can help drive it forward!

    What has changed since the beta?

    • Completely redesigned the UI
    • Added new Profile Sandbox feature
    • A bunch of behind the scenes optimisations, refactoring, cleanup and various code quality related tasks

    Next steps?

    I'm leaving for Japan!

    Tomorrow I will be leaving Australia to go travelling around Japan and South Korea for a month before starting my year studying abroad in Osaka.

    So instead of doing big releases like I usually do for my projects, I am going to aim to work on things slowly and roll updates out gradually (hopefully with the help of other developers in the community)!

    There are plenty of new features and enhancements I want to work on for osu!chan and I can't wait to get to work on them when things start to calm down for me in the new year. (I will work on creating some sort of list either on the github repos or discord to keep everyone up to date on whats going on.)

    PS. ignore any wrong dates like "Ranked 49 years ago" for now. the dates are being fixed now but it will take an hour or two to finish processing all of them
    This bug will also extend to any leaderboards that use beatmap date ranges! This will be fixed in the coming day or so!
