    I would like to state my position and offer feedback on the OWC as someone who has been playing osu casually for a little over a couple years and really enjoys the game, but would like to see the OWC or osu tournament play in general be improved upon and made into a better viewing experience for both players and non-players alike.

    • The default skin is extremely unappealing to look at. A more minimalistic clean skin with vibrant colors would go a long way in making the game look and feel more professional. I can't speak to the compatibility of skins with the tournament client, but to me this should be a top priority.

    • Related to the first point, the hitsounds of the default skin sound very off-putting with the type of music being played. They don't go together at all, and there are so many better sounding appropriate alternatives available.

    • The difficulty of the maps is really underwhelming. For the caliber of players participating in the event, it feels very odd to me that most of the maps being played are in the 5-6 star range with no fail enabled. These players are capable of playing way more difficult and exciting maps that will have the audience at the edge of their seat in anticipation. (Edit: In hindsight, this was probably not a reasonable criticism. I can understand now why the difficulty of the maps chosen makes sense at this stage of the OWC.)

    • The choice of songs feels unexciting and bland to me. There are so many well known and very hype songs that could be chosen, yet most of the songs/maps used in the event I've never heard of before. Perhaps this is more on me for not having a more well rounded awareness of all of the maps/songs in osu since there are so many, but I find the choice of songs bores me.

    • Very low background dim/none at all(?). Why? This looks very unappealing looking at the same image 8 times.

    • Combo font size should be much larger since that's the main thing that people pay attention to.
